If you follow me on The Twitter (@MaFt) then I apologise as you’ve probably read all this anyway but I thought I’d share the amusing tale of two people who kept me entertained for nearly an hour this evening. The following is a copy & paste of my live-tweeting earlier this evening.

Two lads on rec setting up a kite. It’s not even windy??!!

They’re not getting very far with this kite. One’s taking photos, the other looks to be untying knots.

There’s a massive knot in the middle. I can see it from 100m away. Taller guy is sorting that one. Shorter guy not very helpful.

Ooh. Shorter guy (I shall call him Simon) is now working on another massive knot. Me thinks they should have prepared better.

I’ve cooked home made sausage rolls in the time it’s taken Simon and the taller guy (Timothy) to not manage to untie knots.

Simon has run to the kite. Timothy is still un-knotting. Both are bent over.

They’ve now merged into one. I shall call the conglomerate ‘Simothy’.

For the visually aware, yes thats a power line behind them. But it’s about 400m further behind them. In a different field.

Simothy has separated back into Simon and Timothy. They’re still trying to untie the knots. It’s like watching Paint dry.

Simon has run to Timothy for a team talk. It’s now Simons turn to fly as Timothy picks up the kite.

Simon is a much better pilot than Timothy.

Although the fact that he had to run backwards 100m to keep it flying for 5 seconds proves its not windy enough for a kite.

Simon is definitely the better pilot. While Timothy has resigned himself to the fact that he is the thrower-upperer now.
