Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
When someone visits the website we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone including anonymising the IP address. As well as our own methods, we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to do this. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it. If you don’t want Google Analytics to be used in your browser, you can install the Google Analytics browser add-on. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy.
We use Google AdSense to display ads on the website. For visitors within the EEA these ads do not use personalised data. For more information on how Google use your data for advertisements please see the Google information page. Cookies are required for running these advertisements but the cookies for users in the EEA do not contain personal data – they are only used for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse.
