I grew up on Windows and most of the time I am still a Windows girl (37 hours a week ish on a Windows PC at work does that to you) but I am a Mac Girl at heart.

I have a MB and an iPod. I did have an iPhone but I was led astray by the lovely BB but decided now 6 months later that I was wrong and will be promptly returning to the iPhone.

There is a simple reason for the file-sharing problems. Mac, being in the minority and having to exist and function in a predominantly windows world, out of necessity is programmed to connect to both Macs and Windows machines. Windows on the other hand needs coaxing to connect to a Mac as you found. Why then is that the Mac's fault?

Regarding CD burning, Toast is the general CD/DVD burner workhorse for Mac. I also find there is far more open source/free/very cheap software for the Mac than Windows.

PS. brought up on Commodore PETs, then Commodore 64 then DOS-Win3.0-95 etc. I used to build and configure PCs. I switched to Mac because I got fed up spending the first 30-60min of any computer session fixing Windows before I could do what I wanted. I now use both Windows and Mac.
